What is graffiti?

Graffiti is the style and way text is published on a certain item or property.

 

Why do people do graffiti?

For the simple fact to see who has the parts work of art, or to enforce their gang or tag name.

How is graffiti used or associated with hiphop?

Graffiti acually started rap which took place in bronx Newyork during the70's. When a certain gang had beef they showed it

by overtagging their graffiti. Either crossing out a certain gang name ( bloods crips) and using their own tag.

This took on a violent rage which then led to music which described a certain struggle and husale and had the urge to write about it in a poetry way which led to rap. As the east coast west coast wars got into more depth, graffiti was used alot to either diss or disrespect another person and state them as a higher power. As we all know hiphop/rap has its own language, clothes and uniqeness. Graffiti resembles many things which could be interpetated back tohip-hop as to use sum of the lyrics they published on the roll onto a song, also making name brands of cloths such as

"Enyce and Miskeem"

What do you use to create graffiti?

Easy anything which can be seen on walls or any surface whice we can write on. But the thing which is mainly used

is Spray cans,shoe polish or even magic markers.
